10 Words People Would Use to Describe You

This is not an easy task for me to tackle but I'd like to be a good sport so here's my take:

1. awesome!
2. a drama
3. wonderful
4. *itchy/moody - hehe
5. talented
6. impatient!
7. goofy/funny
8. smart
9. shorty
10. sensitive

Most people would compliment me on something - that's why I had a little clue; the rest is just a product of my paranoia (j/k) *wink!

PhotoHunt #17 - Protect(ion)

For this week's theme on photohunter, I chose to post my dh's hand (more like an arm- hahaha). I thought it's very fitting for the theme because this hand will do just about anything and will do all it can to its power to safeguard his family and its members from being damaged (i.e. mental) or harmed.

C.I.A. #16

I did some chores while ds was taking a nap. Ds had been so good at sleeping in his toddler bed. We did not have any "incident" that we had to worry about - so far.By the time I had to get him up, I could not find him! My ds was lost! You can just imagine the panic I felt in an instant! Thank goodness I found him in his closet! I could not figure out how and why he got there but he's sleeping so peacefully in there. I got him there after taking a couple of shots and cuddled him until he woke up. tfr

card making class #4

This month on cardmaking at bella, we did two cards. A slider card, and a shaker card. This is the first time I had a chance to make something like these.

slider card - closed

slider card - open to reveal a message and a gift card!

another pic of my shaker card

We did two cards today because these babies take a long time to make. Actually, I just grabbed the rest of materials for my shaker card because I ran out of time - had to pick up ds at 12:30pm. The group were still working on the shaker when I left.

For my teacher, I'd like you to know that I enjoyed working on these projects. My shaker card came out awesome! I look forward to making more for family and friends. tfr

trip to the zoo

It's been a week since I did not have to wake up early to go to work! We planned on going to the zoo today. I called my df and babysitter for her service tomorrow; in our conversation, she had mentioned about going to the zoo also but a different one. I know our ds missed her kids already so I figured we can still change our venue since we haven't bought our tickets yet! Off we went to the public library where we can buy our tickets for less expensive price than buying it from the zoo, the largest one in New England. They also have different passes for different family-oriented places.

On our way there, dh decided to give me a tour of the house he helps renovating (picture: 3rd column, 2nd row). It was a tour! That house is grand; but that's for a different post. After my little tour of that mansion, we were off to see the lions!

We arrived at the zoo around noontime. I was hoping to see my df right away so we can spend time at the zoo together. We did not find them soon enough, so we went on the route we normally go. Today, is just a lucky day for us, I guess! Dondi, the Gentle Giant Elephant - my ds' favorite in the zoo, is having her show in 5 minutes! We waited, watched in amazement, and enjoyed ourselves. While enjoying the show, I also learned that she's about my age and came from Thailand. She stands 8 1/2 feet tall, and she weighs about 8,000 pounds!

Phil, the trainer, uses positive reinforcement to train Dondi to do tricks and make other animal sounds. It's amazing!

After the show, we went to find my df while looking at some animals along the way. It was just a perfect day to be outside. We found my df and her family on our way to the petting zoo and the skyfari. It was fun to see the kids hug each other like they have not seen each other for decades!

Overall, it's a great trip and Dondi was the attention grabber! tfr

Bonding with Khriss

Last Friday, my dh, ds, and I went to witness our very df do her proposal for her dissertation. Please don't ask me about what she presented. The formulas are so beyond me! Her topic was about "Benchmarking Finite Population Means for Small Areas Using Multivariate Bayesian Regression Model". Okay so, I did not really know her lingo but I know after her long speech (more than an hour), we will have bonding time at my house!

I always enjoy being around her. She's the little sister I must long for since I was little! She's a fashionable geek, very down to earth, very loyal, and most of all she adores our little ds *wink/jk. She's one of life's little blessings that come along our journey of life. There are not any dull moments with her.

lunch bag mini album

here's my installment on the lunch bag album that my df and I started. This weekend, we went to Bella in Johnston and found what a clever idea they did with the lunch bag. We went home and scrap til 3 am! I love having her around. I cherish every moment I share with her!

My album is not done as of the moment. I have a couple of pages to fill in with a lot of memories and then I should be done! tfr

PhotoHunt #15 - Triangle

the word triangle means tri - three, and angles. therefore it's all about a closed shape with three angles. Triangles can be classified according to its sides [scalene, isoscles, and equilateral] and angles [acute, obtuse, right, and equiangular].

A scalene triangle has three sides of unequal lengths, an isosceles has two legs/sides of equal lengths, and an equilateral has three sides of equal lengths. That’s for classifying triangles according to its sides. Triangles can also be classified according to its angles: acute triangles has angles that measure less than 90 degrees, an obtuse triangle has an angle measure that’s greater than 90 degrees, a right triangle has an angle measure that is exactly 90 degrees, and lastly, an equilateral triangle has three angles that are equal (60 degrees each measure). The total angle measure of a triangle is 180 degrees!

Triangle is one of the most rigid, fundamental shapes. The pyramids that stand the test of time, has triangular faces... I can list more examples of the use of triangles but I am afraid I’ll bore you. Anyhow, this week's theme on photohunter is Triangle. I am posting a picture of the building with a tower in triangular sections. I go through this route every morning to the babysitter’s house. Tfr!
