PhotoHunt #9 - thankful

This week's theme in photohunter is Thankful. I chose to post the picture of my ds because I am most thankful for ~ a son, healthy and happy. I am also thankful for all the other blessings that were (and will be) bestowed upon me, my family, and the people I care for (...and don't care for).

C.I.A. #8

Ds thought that a roll of poster is such a nice toy! We went back to school today so I can finish some important issues. So, while I was busy with my work, I caught ds playing with the paper and had fun with it! tfr!

Roses. . .

I found a very talented glass bead artist who delicately make little beads with roses "painted" in the glass! Beautiful is an understatement to what she can create. She maintains a blog [click here] for you to keep up to date to her newest creations.

My Dh and I were invited to gather at our df's house. We decided to go since it's been a long time since I had a chance to meet them. Again, I'd like to thank the host, Mira, for the opportunity for us to meet new friends. It was nice to know that Lou, Barb, and Dhoy are paid blogging as well! I need to get a seminar from them! It was also great to meet Josie and her pretty little girl again. Thank you ladies for being so friendly. We enjoyed your company. God Bless! tfr

My ds is so fascinated with any writing utensil lately. You may notice that he cannot let go of his wagon, either!

PhotoHunt #8 - Warm

We're on a tailgating party at my neighbors this cold December day. My dh and ds are enjoying the snow on the ground, the food being served, and the company while I was next
to the fire.

Stampin'

I went to my df's house to try my skill on stamping. Guess what, I think I went overboard just stamping all afternoon! I thought it was fun just trying all the beautiful stamps my df has! This girl has all the stamps you can imagine! The day was not enough to even have the chance to look at each one... I am glad she opened her drawers of stamps for me. I went through the 4th drawer and I was happy... I did not have the chance to count how many drawers there were ~ just so many! :)

I realize that stamping is a very relaxing (as well as very addicting) hobby. The time I spent at her house was very "fruitful" now I just have to grab someone to use the stamps I made so "I can justify why I have way too many" - hahaha! [This quote sounds so familiar]

My stamping venture was a little overwhelming if my best buddy freddy did not help me... He is a cutie! He likes to help and never fails to do so whenever I am at her mom's house.
Freddy playing next to me. He even tried to stamp his paw on my paper...
My best, Purrfect Friend Freddy was a big help today!
A photogenic Freddy and I! I had to take this picture for someone before I bid goodbye!

Ethel is such a cutie, too! She's photogenic as well..

Feb 14th

I am so happy to go home with a little package outside my house from ProFlowers. My dh is so thoughtful to do that and so does my little son! They're the two most important boys in my life and the flowers are just extras that warm my heart.

card making class #2

Today, my df from school, came with me to try her talent on making cards. I like the fact that I can have some company during a 20-minute drive to the class. When we arrived at the store, we were welcomed by the Chocolate Fest that the store's owner prepared for the ocassion - Feb 14.

we took a break to say "cheese"!

First fun card we made for the day! I love the bees! It was fun to measure and fold the paper to make this stand up card. I am sure my df will love this card...

This is another fun card. They call it diorama. I enjoyed making this project and am planning to make some more!

This one is a gift card insert. Isn't that cool??

This is a project I made from the store's "make and take" table.

still here. . .

Just in case you're wondering if I'm still around... the answer is still -yes. I just have to be on top of my "list". I wish there's more hours in a day but I know I'm just wasting my time wishing - hahaha

Craft Night #5

Amy is our host for this month's craft night. We made fleece blankets this time. The blankets are very soft and so easy to make. All you need is a fleece material (of course), a pair of scissors, and a pair of hand to tie the two strips together (if you want to finish fast!)

Carolyn and I decided to work together on our blanket. I made the strips while she tie them...

we switched tasks..

Nancy and Sonya working together...

Here's our picture bragging about our newly knotted blankets.
Thank you, Amy, for being a really nice host and a good teacher.
I love my blanket so does my ds.

C.I.A. #5

This is a pic of my ds explaining to me why he wiped some of our drawing on the blackboard. From what I can gather, he's trying to make the sun and mountain look better!
Have a great weekend everyone!
