historic inauguration

I wish I can find the video I made of the inaugural speech that our new president made. I thought it was interesting to watch in the future.

I will keep you updated if I found it.

MLK weekend

well, my three-day weekend was well-spent... we are now done with my little corner except for just a few little hooks to put on here and there; and then I will be up and running with my projects! I am so happy that my dh is sooo supportive of me. I figured you should know that ... *wink!

I have work tomorrow so g'night. tfr

My new Studio

To sound more like a pro, I called the little space (that my dh prepared only for me) ~ a studio. We it's mine and I think I can call it anything I want. I love the fact that I can see through the window and enjoy the sunlight in the afternoon. I appreciate my dh for finding time to make me happy. I know his schedule is very hectic but he still finds time for me and our ds. tfr!

C.I.A. #3

The smile in my ds' face tells me that he's got something I don't ~ Food and his favorite toy. We're busy packing to go out to the "cold world" when before we know it, ds is also busy with the food he's suppose to let his hands on for lunch! He's helping himself here, and he's ready to dive in - with Chuck.

card making class

I am officially hooked into card making! I love it very much! I am grateful that a very good friend of mine invited me to do some cards. We go to Bella Art, in Johnston, where you'll find nice, friendly people, and really nice stamping, card making materials.

my df & I

Today's technique is using a regular bleach to beautify papers! How exciting! I did not realize we can use a bleach to make cards... Here's my creation...

The pear pictured in the middle is made from white glossy paper, we stamped alcohol ink on it, let it dry, stamped the big pear picture with versa mark, emboss, then wipe the inside with bleach... I love what came out of it!

Bleach is applied inside the outlined picture on the bottom right of the card.

We stamped with bleach on a nice bazzill paper.

I'd like to thank Sarah, our teacher, for guiding me to make these nice cards!

deep freeze... bbbrrrrrr!

I've got a phonecall from my df and colleague this afternoon. She is an angelic bearer of good news! No school tomorrow! yehey for now. I will worry about longer school days in the summer!

North Dakota's temperature as of post time is -24 degrees, my df who teaches in Vermont has a temperature of -12 degrees! I feel the chills just thinking about it! Log on to check the severe weather update/warnings.

Don't forget to get those pipes running so they won't break. Be safe, bundle up, and stay toasty at home. tfr!

Craft Night #4

It was my turn to host the Crafty Ladies party this month. I was a little nervous since it's my first time but my group mates are so supportive of me that I cannot complain.

I made vegetarian spring rolls in addition to my regular ones and vegetarian bijon and a regular bijon since our president is vegetarian. It was fun to make some vegetarian meal since I rarely make them. It's all worth the time and effort when my guests enjoyed the meal. They had seconds, and "seconds-and-a-half's". I also want to thank Amy, Nancy, Carolyn, and Tina for bringing desserts.

We made "dna - bracelets" and I could not complain about any of my students. They all tried to get an A in the rubric (lol). Everyone had fun (I think) and went home happy with the memories and ... what else but the bracelet they just made!

For all of you ladies, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I enjoyed your company! tfr

hubby list tag

Tag from Mira of Random Thoughts

this picture was taken few days after we met

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby? Yes
When was that? sometime in the past, about 9years ago
First impression. down to earth, natural, unpretentious

Were you attracted to him?Yes.

Were you friends before he became your bf? Yes.
What was the sweetest thing he did for you? He went half the world to meet me.

What are the things about him that you are thankful for? I have a lot of things that I am thankful for about my hb. For one, he puts up with me. He puts us (our son and I) on the very top of his priority list, he will do everything to make us happy, and by doing so, he makes himself happy!

This picture (on the right) was taken few minutes after the new year of 2009. As you may already notice, we both look so ready for our beauty rest except for McKale of whom we don't know where he got his energy from!

Few years and a happy, healthy son after: we are still in love! We are counting the wonderful years we spent together, looking forward to the many years to come.... to learn from each other, and to grow deeper in love...

*Now the rules are simple.

1. Foremost, link back to the person who tagged you.

2. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.

3. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions.

4. Share to how many friends you like. Be sure to link them and send them a comment about the tag.

5. Enjoy doing it

6. Let your hubby read it too

God bless your love and friendship more

I'd like to pass this tag to anyone who wants to share their wonderful memories to people.

My New Scrap/Craft Corner

I can hardly wait to move in my new little corner. We are almost done and I am so excited. I helped paint the walls and the shelves that dh made for me! I am just so grateful that we have our very own handyman in the family. Friends are welcome to stop by and spend relaxing time to scrapbook or make jewelry in no time!

Photo Hunt #1 - Hope

As I look at this picture of my ds by the beach, I could not stop wondering what he's wondering about, what he's hoping for. Whatever it may be, I hope that he will have answers for them. ... soon.

An afternoon with Freddy

Carolyn and I had a blast today. We went to Tiverton to check out a new beadstore that she found online. It was a ride but I wasn't driving so i don't have any complaints. (hahaha) We proceeded to "visit" another "mom-n-pop" bead shop on the way back to her house. It's nice to sometimes go out with somebody you like to hang out with and one with the same inclination as yourself.I am thankful that I am blest with a new friend.

This is a picture I took of Carolyn...She is showing off the beads she just bought from Tiverton. It's so gorgeous! My little camera could not justify how pretty it is! Especially if you know that she got these freshwater pearls for almost a steal! Unlucky me, that was the only pack that's on sale. Anyway, I am happy for her.
Another bracelet that's freshly created by Car when I took this picture. I love the black and white combi! "It also scare the bad spirits away!"

Another look at the bracelet...

Best buds, Freddy and Lucy... They both adorable. Freddy like to climp on me when I'm visiting. He likes to "help" me with my beading... He acts like a little kid, trust me, he does!

Carolyn is putting on her new bracelet for the first time. . .

Freddy is checking out my jewelry box. I think he recognizes that his mom made it for me!

" What have you got in here?"

THE END!

Hanging Around in the Basement...

Hi Everyone! I just want you to know that I am still alive and kicking... I am enjoying the time I can spare for my ds and dh. My ds is napping right now, so there's not a lot of exciting things to do. My pictures are downloading... and seems to be up soon. I will be sharing them through kodak gallery and multiply.

I hope the 2008 is a great year for you and 2009 will be even better! Happy new year from my family to yours! tfr

The Pellizzari's Xmas Party

My df held an advance New Years Party at their residence last night. We tag along our little boy and we're off the meet new friends. It's always nice to meet new friends and rekindle old ones. We had a lot of fun! We enjoyed their company, the food was good, and above all, they're very good host.

Our X-mas Party

It's our little tradition to invite family and friends to our humble abode around this time of the year. We dine together, have some laughs, talk just about anything, and of course, we don't forget to take out the mic and sing.

Singing along (karaoke) is a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching my neice who does not speak a word of my native tongue sing my native song! And be good at it! It's amazing. Once again, I'm reminded that music is a universal language.

This year, we enjoyed the company of my df L and her dh and ds, my sil and her ds and dd, and everdearest gf and adopted gm, Lola Connie.

It's around this time of the year that I wish (more than other times of the year) for my two worlds to be one! Well, wishing is free so I might as well wish for the impossible!

gifts for McKale

For our ds, my dh and I decided to get him a little something to open on the Christmas morning. We bought him a collector's edition Hess Truck, this is our little tradition for him. He really loves trucks and vehicles of any kind that we thought getting him a truck that sounds like one would be cool!

We also got him some socks and shirts from Gymboree and children's place(my favorite kids' store)! I thought that that was too much, gosh! They're so expensive! I guess our ds deserves some nice clothes once a year. (I am just so used to hand-me-downs, good wills, consignments clothes, etc).

The best gift of all, that I know for sure we can offer him, is our love, attention, and care. I hope that we can instill that in him as he grows up.

Survivors

I stayed up late tonight to watch survivors 2-hour finale. It was fun to see Bob, the Physics teacher from Maine, win. I was rooting for him all along. I knew he could outlast and outwit anyone in that contest.
