Fire Truck
Today is my ds' lucky day. Dh came home with a surprise for his ds~ a yard sale find that's working. Ds was so excited that he did not mind that the truck is dirty. Obviously, it needs a lot of tlc and a battery. Dh had to use his motorcycle battery to check it the toy is still working... and it did.

C.I.A. #16

I did some chores while ds was taking a nap. Ds had been so good at sleeping in his toddler bed. We did not have any "incident" that we had to worry about - so far.By the time I had to get him up, I could not find him! My ds was lost! You can just imagine the panic I felt in an instant! Thank goodness I found him in his closet! I could not figure out how and why he got there but he's sleeping so peacefully in there. I got him there after taking a couple of shots and cuddled him until he woke up. tfr

trip to the zoo
It's been a week since I did not have to wake up early to go to work! We planned on going to the zoo today. I called my df and babysitter for her service tomorrow; in our conversation, she had mentioned about going to the zoo also but a different one. I know our ds missed her kids already so I figured we can still change our venue since we haven't bought our tickets yet! Off we went to the public library where we can buy our tickets for less expensive price than buying it from the zoo, the largest one in New England. They also have different passes for different family-oriented places. On our way there, dh decided to give me a tour of the house he helps renovating (picture: 3rd column, 2nd row). It was a tour! That house is grand; but that's for a different post. After my little tour of that mansion, we were off to see the lions!
We arrived at the zoo around noontime. I was hoping to see my df right away so we can spend time at the zoo together. We did not find them soon enough, so we went on the route we normally go. Today, is just a lucky day for us, I guess! Dondi, the Gentle Giant Elephant - my ds' favorite in the zoo, is having her show in 5 minutes! We waited, watched in amazement, and enjoyed ourselves. While enjoying the show, I also learned that she's about my age and came from Thailand. She stands 8 1/2 feet tall, and she weighs about 8,000 pounds!
Phil, the trainer, uses positive reinforcement to train Dondi to do tricks and make other animal sounds. It's amazing!
After the show, we went to find my df while looking at some animals along the way. It was just a perfect day to be outside. We found my df and her family on our way to the petting zoo and the skyfari. It was fun to see the kids hug each other like they have not seen each other for decades!
Overall, it's a great trip and Dondi was the attention grabber! tfr

C.I.A. #13

This is what I've got when I don't keep my eyes open! Actually, they're open; I took about a minute to go to the other room for his diaper. To my surprise, I saw him covered with a roll of toilet paper! He thought he was actually doing me a favor *wink! I just could not find it in me to get too upset, though, for he's just too cute!
I made it certain this is a teachable moment!

easter playdate
Here are some of the pictures I took at our easter playdate. There were five other toddlers in the house. This has been the largest play date we ever went! The most we went to prior to this was three - including my ds. I was a little concerned about how my ds will behave since he’s “deprived” of a lot of other little friends. Ds only has the babysitter's kids to play with on a regular basis (they're cute and they love him so much but they're much older) and us! Sometimes, he sees his cousins (who are way too old for his age group) at Nana's. So, one could imagine how things could go on the difficult side...
They started out at the host’s playroom with a lot of toys my ds and other kids could not decide what to play with first! There were times that it seems only one toy exists. With mom’s coaching and hinting kids to take turns, they just played happily. We then proceeded to color the eggs. My ds seemed like he has done it all along, hehehe! He loves to color but on papers so I helped him with decorating his egg. The pictures I posted here were carefully chosen to conceal the identity of other toddlers. I just want to play it safe.

After they're done at the playroom, 1) they started to color - only one coloring book seemed to get noticed! but they were very good at sharing; 2) they took some time to talk about what they just colored (in their own words!); 3) teamwork!; 4) ds having trouble deciding which is his favorite color this time; 5) ds decorating the egg while mommy's holding it; 6) ds patiently waiting for the egg to turn green - he knows his color!; 7) ds putting fake grass in the paper basket; 8) his work of art - very proud of him - aww!; 9) we went home with some goodies!
Today, I thought it would be nice if I was some SAHM. I centainly enjoyed being with other moms and watching in amazement how my ds grew so fast! I wonder were I was when everything transpired! At any rate, today is a blessing! tfr!

Saturday with Ana

My ds and I went to visit a newly-found friend of mine who has a three-year old son. Ds' new friend was very friendly and welcoming to us. He's very articulate for a 3-year old and he shared his toys! They enjoyed each others company as well as we had! tfr!

C.I.A. #12

This picture was taken early in the morning when my ds woke me up with his "momma call", and some banging noise. To my surprise, he was already wide awake, and everything in his crib was out on the floor!
I'm still wondering how was he able to throw the mattress out of the crib! He was so happy here that I could not find it in my heart to be upset. He helped me put everything back in. tfr!

I chose this picture on my weekly CIA for my ds. You can see that he's waving his hand toward the direction of the green salad. I have a little picky eater and I don't get tired offering him anything that I think might tickle his palate. :) He ended up eating half of it and fed me the rest!
I am glad that my camera takes a pic without the flash, he did not really know that I was "stalking" on him. tfr!

Here's my ds reading the numbers in the elevator. He is really into it that he did not even mind me taking a picture. Normally, he would turn his head away from me when he knows I am pulling my camera out to take a pic.He can read his letters and numbers with out a doubt - this time, he's making a career of it (it seems). tfr!

This is a pic of my ds explaining to me why he wiped some of our drawing on the blackboard. From what I can gather, he's trying to make the sun and mountain look better!
Have a great weekend everyone!

C.I.A
This is a weekly edition of a photo blog. My homework is to find a candid photo of my son every week and brag about it. It may be wordless since "a picture is worth a thousand words."You are welcome to brag about yours, too, just leave me a comment so I can check it out.
Thanks and have a great day!

McKale's 2nd bday!
Today marks another celebration ~ to give thanks and rejoice ~ for another 365 days that we spend our lives with our ds, McKale! We are so glad he's happy, healthy, and growing (in love)...This birthday cake was made by the local dairy farm. Our favorite ~ Wright's dairy farm.

Our ds blowing his candle with dad's help.
After we shared the ice cream, cake, and some of my dish, we then shared a microphone to do karaoke, and opened the gifts. Auntie Sue and Zak gave our ds this awesome guitar! Lola Connie ~ savings bond and a music book, Brit-Brat ~ some shirts that are looking forward to summer! A lovely card from Ate Khriss. We also thank Ate Khriss for the help in everything especially for taking those beautiful pix. In behalf of my ds, We thank you guys for your generosity. I originally told people that you're invited if you won't bring anything. I guess, they didn't hear it..... loltfr!

McKale's bday

Sometimes it's nice not to worry about what's going to happen. To just enjoy the NOW. Well, I did not really have anything planned for today. I only know that it's my ds 2nd birthday, and that we're going to pick up Ate Khriss from Worcester Ma for her scheduled sleep over at our house. But before I forget, I have to hurry home from picking Khriss up since Steph and her kids will be at the house and then I've got a call from Gerry that they're also going to come. She's with her three kids. And I've yet to meet the last addition to their family! Her new 3month old baby, Christian! I'm going to meet him for the first time. Ohh the cuddly little babies are just a joy to behold! Gerry and her kids arrived around 6:30pm. We were finishing the spring rolls and the Philippine style spaghetti then, they help me finish up in the kitchen, then we shared our blessings, including the cake that Gerry bought for my ds.
Thank you guys for coming and for sharing in our happy moments! tfr
